TRÈD’SI

QUEBEC’S INNOVATOR IN THE REUSE OF TREATED WOOD

The North American leader in the field of treated wood recovery, Trèd’si has been specializing in recycling and reusing treated wood since 1984.

Trèd’si’s corporate mission is to preserve natural resources by focusing its activities on the recovery, recycling, and processing of treated wood to give it a second life.

Experience, know-how, passion, and respect for the environment are the main pillars of the company’s operations.

TODAY

Always innovating, Trèd'si continues to develop its business and reduce the environmental footprint of treated wood.

Trèd’si’s adventure began in 1984, when Jean-Yves Tremblay decided, with the support of his family, to build a sawmill that would match his ambitions. An environmentalist at heart, he decided to switch from his specialty in virgin wood, and to take on a new endeavour to recover and recycle treated wood.

Trèd’si has now extended its operations throughout Quebec, and has recovered more than 420 000 damaged utility poles (i.e., the equivalent of a 4200-hectare mature forest). The sawmill has now become the embodiment of sustainable development, and continues its mission thanks to its capacity for constant innovation.

A HISTORY OF PASSION AND CONVICTION

TRED’SI,

THE GLOBAL GREEN ALTERNATIVE

Trèd’si is constantly seeking comprehensive, eco-friendly disposal solutions to end the accumulation and burying of disused treated wood.

The expertise developed by Trèd’si over time is based on the 4R approach: reduction at source, reusing, recycling, and repurposing. This approach enables the company to offer definitive, eco-friendly alternatives to landfills for treated wood.

Consequently, this treated wood management approach not only makes it possible to give a second life to recycled materials; it also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions released by decomposing wood.
